Hope we all know what happened today at the executive board meeting. there will be 10% job cut. Hey don't count too much on the union. there will be no official job cut for us us , but but guys remember that we are also governed by the blue book. pay deduct and so forth can be a ground for firing (lay off).

The Local 1503 Monthly Financial report ending January 31, 2009 and read at the last meeting had an item "Flowers by Anaya Bonx...$189.66" for bereavement. According to the location there is a maximum limit of $100 for bereavement.
Article 8 Section 9. The local shall pay for a floral arrangement, or the equivalent of, not to exceed $100.00; the wishes of the immediate family of the deceased member shall be honored.
Could someone explain this, please.
